Wadhah Mahdi
Born in Baghdad in 1974, he holds a diploma in art: the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad 1996, and graduated from the College of Fine Arts in 2000. Wadah left Iraq in 2005, but he currently lives and works in Baghdad. His artworks are recognizable narrative situations or snapshots painted in a mystical style with a rich and warm color palette. He is a member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate and the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association. Throughout his years as an artist, Wadhah held two solo exhibitions at Qawaf Gallery in Aleppo 2008-2009 and participated in 30 local and international group exhibitions. Some of his group exhibitions include, El Behi Modern Exhibition for Contemporary Art Qatar, 2021, Union of Tunisian Plastic Artists, 2017, The Arab Forum for Fine Arts Qatar, 2018, Italy International Festival 2017 along with many other exhibitions in France, Lebanon. , Rome, Kuwait, the United States, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Two of Wadha’s last exhibitions were held at Gallery Baghdad and Gallery 2021. As an artist, Waddah has received many awards including the first prize from the Saudi Center for Fine Arts 2015 along with certificates of appreciation and appreciation from various art institutions around the world in the United States 2013, Syria 2010 and Qatar 2010, Iraq 2010 and Egypt 1999.
Received the Iraqi Creativity Award from the Ministry of Culture in 2021
وضاح مهدي
ولد في بغداد عام 1974، حاصل على دبلوم في فن الرسم معهد الفنون الجميلة بغداد 1996، وبكالوريوس رسم كلية الفنون الجميلة بغداد عام 2000، غادر وضاح العراق عام 2005، لكنه يعيش ويعمل حاليا في بغداد، أعماله الفنية عبارة عن مواقف سردية يمكن التعرف عليها او لقطات مرسومة بأسلوب صوفي مع لوحة ألوان غنية ودافئة، وهو عضو في نقابة الفنانين العراقيين وجمعية التشكيليين العراقيين . طول سنوات عملة كفنان ، أقام وضاح معرضين فرديين في صالة قواف في حلب 2008-2009، وشارك في 30 معرضآ جماعيآ محليآ و دوليآ، تشمل بعض معارضة الجماعية معرض الباهي الحديث للفن المعاصر قطر 2021 ، معرض اتحاد الفنانين التشكيليين التونسيين 2017، الملتقى العربي للفنون التشكيلية قطر 2018، مهرجان ايطاليا الدولي 2017، الى جانب العديد من المعارض الأخرى في فرنسا ، لبنان ، روما ، الكويت ، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، سوريا ، الإمارات العربية المتحدة و مصر ، شارك في معارض صالة ذا كاليري في بغداد 2021، حصل وضاح على العديد من الجوائز بما في ذلك الجائزة من المركز السعودي للفنون التشكيلية عام 2015، الى جانب شهادات تقدير من مؤسسات فنية مختلفة حول العالم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية 2013 و سوريا 2010 و قطر 2010 والعراق 2010 و مصر 1999، وحصل على جائز الإبداع العراقي من وزارة الثقافة 2021 .
